PB&J Fest For Locals, By Locals

Written by: Cait Elizabeth - August 2022

Suffolk County’s first ever crowd sourced music festival, Pine Barrens Jam has triumphantly returned! Blue Point Brewing Company in Patchougue will be hosting three stacked stages worth of incredible local talent, along with visual artists, activities for all ages, noms, bevs, and pups to pat. Pine Barrens Jam’s commitment to keeping things local is impressive, each and every aspect of this project features the strength and resiliency of our Long Island community.

This unique celebration of Long Island talent, business, and society had a bumpy takeoff during their 2021 debut. Faced with all sorts of unexpected turbulance and several chaotic venue changes during their first hurrah, the organizers teamed up with Blue Point Brewing Company to stick their landing. It was a beautiful and triumphant gala dedicated to local excellence if not precisely what was originally envisioned. This year PB&J is bringing even more an even bigger and bolder party to Patchogue with three independent stages, a large scale live art exhibit, children’s activities, and an artisan market. The team even partnered up with Peconic County Brewing and Blue Point to produce a beer specifically for this event!

When we say local, we mean it! Both behind the scenes and on stage you’ll catch all sorts of friends of LongIslandSound.love. Our lovely team member Brianna Coccia has been pouring herself into this project since day one as the social media administrator, conducting interviews with artists and keeping us all in the loop for what to expect! Dear friend of LongIslandSound.love, Melissa Marie shaped the entire feel of this festival with her outstanding branding and event management skills. The wildly talent packed stages include some familiar names such as Anne O’Rourke, Rorie Kelly, Matt Stoll, Dysfunktone, Graztopia, and The (infamous) Chris Ruben Band along with many others!

This is not an event you want to miss out on!
