INTRODUCTIONS:
Hailing from Brentwood, Jon Jeremy brings an easy wit and a ton of skill to the Long Island rap scene. While many rappers lean heavily on bravado and excessive cursing to maintain rhythm and flow, Jon requires neither of those crutches. His writing and delivery therefore feel more concise and deliberate. His melodies are catchy and his wordplay is clever. Jon has been making music for over a decade, working with artists like Mac Lethal (2009), Ryan Cassat (2016), and Louis Logic (2008). Jon Jeremy recently celebrated his five year sobriety anniversary having struggled with addiction over the years.
As it has been an enormous part of his life, Jon has made his journey to sobriety a main theme in his music. It is incredibly hard to play music and stay sober when every stage is littered with bottles and surrounded by crowds holding their drinks of choice. Sadly many creatives often turn to alcohol and drugs to self-medicate, and musicians are not immune to the temptation. This is an epidemic and we have all buried family and friends consumed by addiction. Jon is proof that it’s possible to keep going, to change your circumstances, and to better your life. He shows that the passion, creativity, and skill come from within you.

TOURS & SHOWS
Jon has toured along both coasts. His eastern exploration included Philadelphia, Baltimore, Virginia, Delaware and Washington DC. He hung out on the West coast with Ryan Cassata hitting up San Francisco, Burbank and Los Angeles. While driving Highway 1 the friends stopped in Big Sur and had a push up contest.
Jon Jeremy released his debut EP entitled “Day Won” in 2009. Last March he released “Sober Art” EP which you can find available on iTunes and Spotify. He is currently working on his first full length album “Paint Like A Child” which he expects to release in 2019. He has a music video for the single “World’s End” on the verge of release within the next month.
The song “Stairway” means the most to Jon. “Being in recovery and coming to terms that I need help from others for my own personal recovery really helped me to write a song about coming together and building a better place and elevating ourselves as a society together for the betterment of everyone”, he shared.

INSPIRATION & INFLUENCES
While many people will say that vocally Jon sounds a lot like Eminem, his style was more directly influenced by artists like Chris Webby and Watsky. His sound comes more from nerdcore rap styles.
“Shout out to my little brother Ryan Cassata, he’s always been my biggest supporter as well as one of my biggest influences. Shout out to the “Muse” which is a local open mic collective that I’ve grown with and also helped host for a while and everyone in it. If I ever had a life lesson to share with anyone it would be find what makes you happy that helps people. There’s no better reward then helping someone especially when they seem to have nothing to give in return. I hope to help someone with my music. Inspire and spread motivation. We all have something to give, no gesture is too small, a smile or an ear could be worth more than all the gold in the world.”
